Project Description

The project aims to design and implement an HVAC (Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning) system that can be automatically controlled by external sensors. This will require interfacing both the HVAC system and the external sensors to a computer. A program will be made that will gather inputs from the external sensors to be used in controlling the HVAC system. The whole project is based on the dynamics of comfort cooling, in which temperature, humidity, and airflow are all considered.

Project Description

This project will provide a virtual tour of the third floor of Faura building. A touch screen pc will be the host pc. The user will be able to move around the third floor of Faura while having the option to either view the rooms in live video feed mode or in still mode. Data on the rooms found on the third floor, such as the objects and equipment in each room, class schedules per room, and other information, will be accessible. The Faura tour can also be accessed through the web. Some modes are only accessible to limited users, subject to the discretion of the administration, due to privacy issues.

Project Description

The Tipping Bucket is a component of a digital rain gauge that is to be used in the thesis of the group. It is composed of a bucket that fills with water from rain and empties at a certain weight, or volume. A sensor counts the number of times the bucket was filled, and with calculations the amount of rainfall would be measured. The bucket is interfaced with a pc for the counting of tips and other quantities.
